An Etsy Team for Your How-to Blog

I recently started this team because I was starting to become frustrated over how difficult it was to find a single place to post my tutorials and patterns on Etsy.  Yes, one can always start a new thread in the general blogging teams, but I wanted somewhere to go that centralized everything and made it easy for me to post, but also easy for someone else to find it.  The simple solution that I came up with was to start this team.

Anyone can join this team as long as you are a registered user of Etsy.  They are the "host" of the team so of course that's the first requirement.  The other 2 stipulations you must meet before you can post a link to your blog is that it must be FREE (no selling your patterns please!), and you should have at least one DIY, how-to, tutorial or pattern.

Seems pretty simple, doesn't it!?  The team is called How-to Blogs on Etsy and you can follow the link to get there.  My goal is to have all of the blog links organized by topic.  I would love my members to start a new thread in the topic that they specialize in.  For example, I did this with my knitting patterns.  It's entitled Knitting How-to's and Patterns and I posted links to my knitting patterns and how-to's.  I envision other users that have knitting patterns, how-to videos, etc. to post their links here.  That way anyone who is looking for help with their knitting can come to this thread and find all sorts of goodies that is specific to what they are looking for.

Being the first person at the top of a thread is great!  You're pretty much guaranteed clicks on your links because people will always see your post first.  To see a current list of thread topics you can use this link  If you are not sure if your topic has a thread created for it, you can do a search of the team's discussions with the same handy dandy link.  Just put your search term in the search box at the top of the page.

Love this idea?  I do too.  A great way to help promote this team is to add the badge to your site to help create more awareness and draw in more members.  This is the code that you can use on your blog or website:

<p align="center"><img src=""><br/>
<a href="">Join How-to Blogs on Etsy!</a>

You can copy and paste the html snippet anywhere you would like it to appear on your site. It will look exactly like it does right above here.  Same size, same link, same everything.

Sounds like a great team! Good for you for starting something new. I'm sure you'll have lots of team members, eager to share all their tutorials.
